Opening for Pancho Barraza will be los Rieleros del Norte. Since the '80s, los Rieleros del Norte have been one of the top bands in traditional Mexican music. Their specialty is norteño, an exuberant, often sentimental style that is also known as conjunto or Tex-Mex. Norteño is the Spanish word for "northern" and Mexicans refer to norteño/conjunto as "musica del norte" (music of the north) because it was created north of the Mexican border -- Texas, to be exact.

Even if you aren't familiar with Mexican music you will find it hard not to enjoy the beauty, rhythm and energy of these performers. You don't have to speak Spanish either as the language of music is universal. Whether you want to just listen or dance along you will have a great time at this show.

Another successful WSOP satellite is in the books at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino! On Saturday, January 7th the 11:15am tournament was filled to capacity with 100 players by 10am. 6 alternates gained entry through the first hour for a total of 106 players.
