October 2016 TACHI PALACE THINKS PINK AND RAISES MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
LEMOORE, CA – Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino was proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with a contribution to Links for Life, a non-profit mammogram and ultrasound breast cancer screening program in Kings County. Through combined fundraising efforts, Tachi Palace was pleased to present a check to this valuable organization for over $11,000!
In July, the “Tachi Thinks Pink” campaign launched with t-shirt sales that continued through the end of October. The proceeds from these shirts totaled $7,330. Then on Friday, October 28, Tachi Palace held a community breakfast which raised even more money to support breast cancer screenings. Nearly 400 members of the community turned out to support the cause, and a total of $1,877 was raised at the door. Tachi Palace was pleased to then match that total, bringing the combined contribution to $11,084. General Manger Willie Barrios was on hand and happy to present a check to Kathy Mittleider, Director of Links for Life.
The Tachi Palace community breakfast is monthly event and is open to the public. It is held on the last Friday of every month and features a full breakfast buffet, informative community news and business networking, as well as raffle prizes and the opportunity to mingle with members of the local community.
