The Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino held the 5th Qualifier for the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event on February 7th. 

On February 7th, 2009 the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino held the 5th of 10 scheduled 2009 “Deep Stack” World Series of Poker qualifying events. The tournament was a sell out at 160 players! 19 Alternates gained entry through the 1st hour for a total of 179 players looking to win all 1.79 million chips and gain entry into the largest tournament on earth, the 2009 W.S.O.P. Main Event!

Joseph W. from Paso Robles, accomplished this feat and becomes the 5th member of 2009 “Team Tachi”. For a mere $200 buy-in Joseph won a $10,000 seat to the 2009 Main Event, roundtrip airfare for him and a guest, hotel accommodations at the Rio for the duration of the main event, and $3,920 in cash!
